Green Spiral Tours
Green Spiral Tours
Green Spiral Tours is a social enterprise designed to connect families and nature through “flashmob field trips” to interesting nature destinations throughout the St. Louis area.
Trips that spiral the calendar include green building tours, nature treasure hunts, adventure playground dates, strawberry picking, private tours to nearby farms, schoolyard visits, and metro journeys to magical places, like the “Whispering Arch” at Union Station. Specialty trips like barefoot walks in Forest Park, milking goats in Webster Groves, playing bocce on “The Hill”, and beekeeper backyard trips spontaneously form based on available time and interest.
Most Green Spiral Trips are designed to be free or affordable, and/or to benefit local non-profits and small entrepreneurs with the aligned mission of connecting families, community and nature.
Field trip dates are announced by email about once per season. Join the email list by sending a note to greenspiraltours@gmail.com. It’s free to join the email list. Green Spiral operates like a nature club; a little bit of money is sometimes collected as a donation to cover the minimal expenses needed to run the field trips.
